🚗 For students under 18 with a valid Virginia Learner’s Permit

Virginia Law requires anyone under the age of 18 hold a VA Learners permit for at LEAST 9 MONTHS prior to receiving a VA drivers license !!!

Our Teen Behind-the-Wheel program is fully approved by the Virginia DMV and designed specifically for teens preparing to earn their temporary driver’s permit or license. Over seven days, your teen will receive in-vehicle instruction, road test preparation, and safety education to build confidence behind the wheel.

Requirements to be accepted in the Behind the Wheel program you must:

if these conditions are met, you are now eligible for Teen Behind the Wheel to potentially receive VA Drivers License.

What’s Included:

  • 7 scheduled driving sessions in our DMV-approved vehicle

  • Certified instructor with teen-focused training experience

  • Pick-up available within service areas

  • DMV-required training hours logged and submitted

  • Road test readiness evaluation

  • Course completion certificate provided

Cost for this course : $325

Once successfully complete both parts, Driver's Ed and Behind the Wheel course, and all conditions have been met, student will receive 180 temporary Drivers Licence from All Seasons RVA driving school.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off:

• A one-time fee may apply for pick-up and drop-off services depending on location.

Please note: We do not provide pick-up/drop-off services for students beyond 10 minutes from our location unless there are multiple students in that area. In this case a pick up fee is applied based on time and distance of location.

• Certain locations may be excluded from our pick-up/drop-off service.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Yes. Virginia law requires you to complete the full 30-hour Driver’s Education (DEC-1) program before you begin the BTW sessions

  • The Teen Behind-the-Wheel program includes:

    • 7 in-car driving sessions

    • 7 observation sessions
      (Each session is approximately 50 minutes and completed under certified instructor supervision.)

    Total Time:

    • 1 hour 40 minutes per day (Driving + Observation)

    • 7 total days to complete the program under normal scheduling

  • You must log 45 hours of supervised practice driving, including 15 hours at night, with a parent or guardian behind the wheel.

  • We offer flexible scheduling options for Teens Behind-the-Wheel, including before-school and after-school time slots.

    If a student is homeschooled, gets out of school early, or has a different schedule, we will pair them with other teens who have similar availability so they can complete the required driving and observation sessions together.

  • We currently service Richmond, Chesterfield, and the surrounding nearby areas. We may offer service in additional areas only if there are multiple students located in the same area, which helps us schedule efficiently. Please contact us to check availability for your specific location.

  • Absolutely. We provide optional extra one-on-one behind-the-wheel lessons geared toward parking, highway merging, or test-route practice — before your final session

  • Yes. Upon completion of your BTW sessions and practice hours, the final road skills test can be administered by a licensed instructor during the last session — no separate DMV appointment required.

  • You will receive your temporary driver’s license only after all DMV requirements have been met, which include:

    • Holding your learner’s permit for a minimum of 9 months

    • Completing the 30-hour Driver’s Education course

    • Completing 45 hours of supervised driving practice (including 15 hours at night)

    • Completing all Teen Behind-the-Wheel sessions

    • Passing your final road skills test

    Once everything is completed, the instructor will issue your temporary/provisional license, and DMV will mail the official license.

  • Once a student receives their 6-month temporary license, DMV requires at least 90 days to receive the paperwork, process it, and issue the next step. After processing, you will receive either your court ceremony date or your hard copy license, depending on your locality.

    If you do not receive your license or ceremony notice after the 90-day period, please contact us and we will help resolve the issue with DMV
